🎵 Crowable is a music community. We built this platform so people can share songs they love with friends, regardless of which streaming service everyone uses. These guidelines exist to keep Crowable a positive, welcoming space for music lovers. 💕
Crowable is primarily for music 🎧, but we welcome sharing podcasts 🎙, audiobooks 📖, DJ mixes 🎶, and other audio content too. Sharing movies, games, and other entertainment is awesome too. We're a community built around things people love listening to and watching.
These guidelines apply to everything you post on Crowable: posts, comments, usernames, display names, and bios.
Be kind. 🙌 Share what you love. ❤️ If you wouldn't say it to someone at a concert, don't say it here.
Don't use bots, link farming, or coordinated inauthentic activity. Sharing and promoting music, including your own, is always welcome. That's the whole point of Crowable. Artists, post your new singles. Fans, post your favorite deep cuts. Podcasters, share your episodes. All of that is great.
OK: Sharing your new single every time you release one. Posting your favorite podcast episode. Sharing a friend's album.
Not OK: Bot accounts auto-posting links. Coordinated campaigns to flood the feed.
Don't target, threaten, intimidate, or harass other users. This includes doxxing (sharing someone's personal information), encouraging self-harm, and sustained unwanted contact. Disagreeing about music is fine. Making it personal is not.
OK: "I really don't get the hype around this album."
Not OK: "Anyone who listens to this is a complete idiot and deserves what's coming to them."
Don't attack people based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or other protected characteristics. This includes slurs, dehumanizing language, and calls for exclusion or violence against groups of people.
Don't make credible threats of violence, glorify violence, or share graphic violent content. Song lyrics and music discussion that reference violence in an artistic context are generally fine. Direct threats against real people are never fine.
Don't post explicit sexual content or non-consensual intimate imagery. Crowable is a music platform, not an adult content platform.
Don't use Crowable to promote or facilitate illegal activities. This includes drug sales, weapons trafficking, fraud, and sharing protected cryptographic keys or circumvention tools.
Don't deliberately spread verifiably false information that could cause harm. Music opinions are subjective and always welcome. Claiming an artist died when they didn't, or spreading conspiracy theories in comments, is a different thing.
Don't pretend to be another person or entity to deceive others. Fan accounts and parody are fine if they're clearly labeled as such.
Don't post copyrighted content without authorization. Sharing links to music on streaming platforms is the whole point of Crowable and is always fine. Posting proprietary data, protected keys, or pirated content in your posts or comments is not.
Don't game Crowable's features. This includes flooding playlist syncs with bulk posts, coordinating with multiple accounts to artificially boost content, or using follow/unfollow tactics to manipulate what appears in other users' feed playlists.
Crowable is a community for sharing things you love: music, podcasts, entertainment, and more. Content that's primarily intended to provoke arguments, bait reactions, or create division doesn't belong here. Political campaigning, culture war content, and rage-farming aren't what this platform is for.
OK: "This artist's new album really reflects their political views. Here's my favorite track." Sharing a movie trailer. Posting a podcast episode.
Not OK: Using a post as a launchpad for a political rant. Posting inflammatory content to get a reaction.
We're not banning opinions or difficult conversations. We're asking that you keep it positive and connected to the things you're sharing. There are plenty of platforms for arguments. This one is for the good stuff.
Content that violates these guidelines may be removed. If your content is removed, you'll be notified with the reason. Repeated violations may result in account restrictions.
We review all content, not just content that gets reported. Our goal is to catch problems early and keep the community healthy.
If you see something that doesn't belong, you can report it using the menu on any post or comment. Reports are private. The person who posted the content won't know who reported it.
If you have questions about these guidelines or think content was removed in error, contact us at contact@crowable.com.
